Prairie Dogs Just After Sunrise

In the front lawn of the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton, is a huge prairie dog city.  Even though the temperatures are below freezing if you are patient and have a good zoom lens you can see these little critters stirring about shortly after sunrise.  They are entertaining but quick to scurry down in a hole if you get too close.  Fun to watch outside your car window!

  1. Hi Lori! I found your link over at Yogi's blog. I live in Madill and I saw Oklahoma and just had to come check out your blog.

Is it cold enough for you? I tell you I am ready for some warm weather and lots of rain. Our pond isn't going to make another year without some good rains.

The prairie dogs are cute and you got a good shot! I am going to add you to my blog roll so I can keep up with your blog!

I always love getting to know other people from where I live!

I hope you have a great day!:-)
